I use to study natural patterns on different perspectives so cherry flakes are one of my most important element for this research, and three cherries fruits, one near the other looks like a 6 6 6 linked by a unique stem, the Sun upon the albatros, absorbing energy from the snake.

“Photosynthesis”

Photosynthesis is a term rooted in the ancient Greek philosophical concept of ‘Ph.y.sis’ exploring the enigmatic process by which plants transform sunlight into nourishment.

Nature, which remains the fundamental axiom underlying every theorem and Orama, is a term that derives from inner-most chemistry, so I imagined accordingly to my work as seen as a whole, observed from a generic point of view and not in relation to one or more specific works of my production.”

Elements Qualia

In philosophy of mind, qualia (singular: quale) are the subjective and qualitative properties of conscious experiences, analogous to what one subjectively feels while having an experience.

Qualia the “how it is” aspects of our experiences, for example, how pain feels, how red looks, or how a certain sound sounds or how each letter has come to life in human evolution.

This serie of works by Alberto Ballocca can be considered each one as an Element, responding to a specific Qualia perceived by the artist himself in different situations.

This body of work includes a diversification of expressions, gravitanting from different supports as paper, canvases, installation and video art.
